Middlesbrough CF&L is committed to providing quality professional development for all staff. Within this area you will find information on training, courses, network meetings and more ~ all of these could be relevant to your professional development.
Our aim is to deliver high quality, relevant and timely support for your work.
Much of the work is centrally funded and therefore is available free of charge.
Where we need to charge we seek to be competitive and acknowledge the current financial situation of many schools.
This site gives up to date information on courses, costs and available training from across the Children, Families and Learning Department.
The School Improvement Service is able to broker a wide range of CPD activities both within and beyond Middlesbrough e.g. briefing sessions, research, study groups, mentoring etc
If you are interested in developing any of these within your school or with a cluster of schools please contact your attached adviser.
There is an on-line enquiry form. To enable courses to go ahead please ensure your booking is placed at least 5 working days ahead. Once you have registered your interest an email will be sent with a unique reference number confirming your booking details. An invoice will then be sent to your school.
Please note that the school may incur cancellation charges if you withdraw from the course.
Please make sure you have approval from your Head / manager before
proceeding with a booking.
Searching for a course
As well as the categories listed on the left hand side menu there are two ways to search for a course,
a simple key word search and an advanced search.
To use the simple search type 'your criteria' in the empty box on your left then click the 'GO' button.
If you have typed 'excel' you will view all the courses concerned with Excel.
To use the advanced search click on the 'ADVANCED SEARCH' text.
The page displayed will show all the advanced search options.
